Our Mission:

We have a simple mission: to restore and renew the minds and bodies of those suffering from depression, psychiatric conditions, chronic pain, and anyone wanting to take control of their health. Through ketamine infusion therapy and other services such as IV hydration, micronutrients, and vitamins, we are here to bring hope and improve your wellbeing.
Dr. Jerry Frenkel is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with advanced certification in Emergency Ultrasound. He completed his medical degree at New York Medical College and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Frenkel also completed a Clinical Ultrasound Fellowship and currently serves as the Director of Emergency Ultrasound and Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College. He is known for his clinical expertise, patient-focused care, and commitment to medical excellence.

Akiva Perlman, PhD., is a professor, lecturer on topics of abuse, addiction, and trauma, and fellow traveler for those suffering in silence. He has educated more than a thousand frum social workers from our community and is currently serving as professor at Wurzweiler School of Social work. Dr. Perlman is the clinical director of ODA’s Wellness Center, a clinic which serves the chasideshe community in Williamsburg. He maintains a practice on Long Island where he resides with his wife Tamar and children.
Virginie Elaine Pernala is an Advanced Practice Nurse who specializes in critical care, rapid response, and internal medicine. She graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later pursued her interest in critical care by joining the Medical Intensive Care Unit. While working in the medical intensive care unit, she completed her Master of Science as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Virginie holds two national board certifications from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and as a Certified Critical Care Nurse.

Wen-Chiao Peng is a nurse practitioner from Taiwan who attended Taipei Medical University (TMU) for her Nursing degree. In her years at TMU, she spent an abundant amount of time in neuroscience, psychology, and music, solidifying her decision to become a nurse practitioner (NP). She later earned her master’s and doctor’s degrees in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing (CUSON). While attending Columbia, she learned being a provider was as essential as being a teacher; thus, she later returned to CUSON as a full-time faculty. “I love supporting students and empowering them through the learning process and I see myself as a partner in their healthcare training."

Daniel Hernandez, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s from the University of Rochester. He treats a wide range of conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Daniel takes a holistic, evidence-based approach that blends medication management, psychotherapy principles, and innovative treatments such as ketamine therapy. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is committed to compassionate, culturally competent care that empowers patients to heal and thrive.
